On August 9, 2006, in Rostov-on-Don, police officers and operational-search bureau No. 1 of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs detained one of the vandals who had attempted to set fire to the museum of Armenian culture located in the Surb-Khach church.
During the operational-search activities, it became known that skinheads were involved in the incident. The police managed to identify the attackers. One of them, previously repeatedly convicted of robbery and robbery, illegal possession of weapons, was detained and confessed. Measures are being taken to detain the remaining participants in the desecration of the museum.
