"Baikal skinhead"

From July 28 to July 30, 2006 on the Babkha River, not far from Baikalsk (Irkutsk region), another bike-rock festival "Baikal-Shaman" was held. The past event was marked by the presence of a large group of skinheads who staged numerous fights and beatings.

According to Igor Moskvitin, one of the organizers of the festival, the skinheads were constantly fighting, breaking street lamps and "running into conflict." Among them was a girl provocateur from Ulan-Ude, who attacked the participants of the festival.

From 20 to 70 skinheads (according to various sources) from Irkutsk, Slyudyanka, Novosibirsk and Ulan-Ude set up their own camp and fought from time to time. It is known that they beat the sound engineer of one of the groups, and also attacked a group from Sayansk performing at the festival when one of the musicians from the stage said “ something was not right” about them .

It is known about the attack of skinheads on a schoolboy from Ulan-Ude, probably a Buryat. A girl approached the teenager (perhaps the same "girl provocateur"), hit him, shouted that he was an "antifa" - and then two unknown people attacked the young man. A fight ensued, the teenager was attacked by several more people who "shouted insults at the student's nationality . " The victim managed to escape to his camp, the Irkutsk newspaper "Number One" writes. There he learned that earlier a similar attack had been committed on a girl from Ulan-Ude, who was considered Jewish.

On the last night of the festival, skinheads tried to organize a pogrom. The organizers called the police, who detained the hooligans and, according to I. Moskvitin, "carried out educational work with them . "

It is known that the victims did not contact the police.
