Another trial of Igor Kolodzenko

On August 24, 2006, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Novosibirsk ruled that a forensic psychiatric examination was ordered by Igor Kolodezenko, editor-in-chief and publisher of the Rodnaya Sibir newspaper. The decision was made in the course of another, third in a row, process over the newspaper's publisher.

Prior to that, I. Kolodzenko had already twice been conditionally convicted under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, but continued his publishing activities.

In August 2005, activists of the Novosibirsk branch of the NDPR, headed by I. Kolodezenko, tried to hold campaign events in the military units of Novosibirsk and handed out the newspapers "Native Siberia" and "Memory in Novosibirsk", as well as the brochure "Jewish Happiness, Russian Tears" there .

In the autumn of 2005, a third case was initiated under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - on the fact of the publication of a note signed by Kolodezenko "I signed up for the people's militia", published in No. 4 of the newspaper "Native Siberia" for 2005 and "Editor's Comment", which, according to the prosecutor's office, "forms a negative image of the Jewish nation and contributes to the transfer of various kinds of negative characteristics, vices and deeds of individual representatives of the Jewish nation to the entire ethnic group, contains proposals for ousting persons of Jewish nationality from various fields of activity and authorities .

At the end of April 2006, the case was submitted to the district court, and in May 2006 the regional court invalidated the mass media registration certificate and its charter.
