The case of the Mad Crowd leader has been brought to court in St. Petersburg

The St. Petersburg Prosecutor's Office completed the investigation and sent to court a criminal case against the leader of the Mad Crowd extremist group, Ruslan Melnik, who was detained on July 14, 2006.

Recall that the verdict in the Mad Crowd case was handed down in December 2005. The leaders of the group, Dmitry Borovikov and Ruslan Melnik, were put on the international wanted list, and the case against them was separated into a separate proceeding. In mid-May 2006, D. Borovikov was killed by law enforcement officers during his arrest.
