The trial of Grigory Grabov

On September 18, the Tagansky Court of Moscow began hearings in the case of Grigory Grabovoi, who is accused of fraud on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

At the first meeting, G. Grabovoi’s lawyers demanded to change his preventive measure to one not related to imprisonment, and also to transfer the consideration of the case to the Ostankino or Meshchansky court, “since not a single episode was committed in the territory under the jurisdiction” of the Tagansky court. However, these demands were not met.

The next meeting took place on September 25. It was held behind closed doors.
