On the night of September 24, 2006, in the village of Mendeleevo, Solnechnogorsk district (Moscow region), on Institutskaya street, Maxim Malyshkin and Alexander Abramov attacked a 56-year-old native of Azerbaijan.
The attackers knocked the man to the ground and severely beat him with their hands, while uttering "insulting phrases against the natives of the Caucasus, calling for them to leave the country." Then they took off the man's outer clothing, doused him with a flammable liquid and set him on fire.
The attackers fled the scene.
A native of Azerbaijan died from his wounds.
