The People's Council movement asks the president to intervene in the conflict around the Patriarchal Metochion in Sokolniki

The People's Cathedral movement appealed to President Putin with a request to intervene in the conflict over the Patriarchal Metochion in Sokolniki. The authors of the document note that the criminal case initiated in January 2006 on the fact of fraud in order to seize the property of the farmstead was terminated in May of the same year due to the absence of corpus delicti. "Meanwhile," Russkaya Liniya quotes the appeal , "The People's Cathedral Movement conducted its own investigation , the results of which are now widely published, and came to directly opposite conclusions."

According to the believers, “by ruining the Patriarchal Compound in Sokolniki, the swindlers and the officials pandering to them thereby offended the feelings of millions of Orthodox believers both in Russia and abroad, inflicted a personal insult on His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Rus'!”
