The Tagansky Court of Moscow returned the case of Grigory Grabovoy to the prosecutor's office to eliminate the violations committed in the indictment. The prosecutor's office has the right, within five days after the announcement of the court decision, to eliminate shortcomings in the indictment or to appeal the court decision.
On October 6, Gazeta.Ru, citing Interfax, reported that the Moscow prosecutor's office appealed the decision of the Tagansky Court to the Moscow City Court. At the same time, Grabovoi’s lawyers filed a complaint with the Khamovnichesky Court against the Moscow prosecutor’s office, which, in their opinion, did not familiarize the defense with the case materials.
However, later the Moscow prosecutor's office withdrew its complaint against the decision of the Tagansky court. Anna Usacheva, press secretary of the Moscow City Court, told the Interfax-religion portal about this on November 14. At the same time, according to her, the court refused to satisfy the complaint of G. Grabovoi’s lawyers, who insisted on changing the preventive measure for their client. The extension of G. Grabovoi's stay in custody until March 20, 2007 was recognized as legal.
