Bryansk authorities banned DPNI rally

On September 25, 2006, the authorities of Bryansk prevented a DPNI rally from being held. According to right-wing websites, the reason for the action was "a significant increase in prices in the food markets of the city, monopoly controlled by the" Caucasian diasporas " .

The city leadership, fearing calls for "pogroms and deportation of Caucasians" , banned the rally on the grounds that had been initiated a criminal case against its organizers under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Note that the DPNI has repeatedly held anti-Caucasian rallies in the Bryansk region .

The ban on the rally caused a violent reaction from the national-patriotic organizations.
