On the evening of October 22 - on the eve of the Uraza Bayram holiday - unknown criminals tried to set fire to the building of a mosque in Vladimir - someone threw a Molotov cocktail through a window on the second floor, Komsomolskaya Pravda-Vladimir reports . As Nuria Khusyainova, a minister of the mosque, told a reporter, "the mosque was saved from the fire by triple strong glass. The bottle did not get inside, fell into the yard, broke and burst into flames."
“By the way, quite recently,” the newspaper notes, “someone poured 25 grams of mercury into the slot of the mailbox of a Muslim house in front of the mosque! FSB. Muslims didn't stir up a scandal then, and they don't do it now. That's what vandals use. Or are they nationalists?.."
On October 30, the NEWSru.com agency , citing Interfax, reported that Vladimir's Frunzensky District Department of Internal Affairs opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism").
