On October 22, 2006, at 19.30 in Vladimir, unknown people tried to set fire to the mosque building. A Molotov cocktail was thrown through a window on the second floor. As Nuria Khusyainova, a servant of the mosque, told the correspondent, the mosque was saved from fire by triple strong glass. The bottle did not get inside, fell into the yard, broke and burst into flames. The resulting flame was not very strong and the parishioners extinguished the fire.
Earlier, unknown persons poured 25 grams of mercury into the slot of the mailbox of a Muslim house in front of the mosque. Then the secret services quickly eliminated the poisonous metal.
“Muslims didn’t make a scandal then, and they don’t do it now. This is what the vandals use. Or is it nationalists? ..” , the journalist who reported the incident notes.
