The warning to Gazeta.Ru remains in effect

On October 27, 2006, the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal upheld the legality of the warning issued by Rosokhrankultura to the Internet media Gazeta.Ru for publishing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.

Let us recall that the warning issued in March 2006 was unsuccessfully challenged in the Moscow Arbitration Court in August 2006. A repeated attempt to challenge the warning in the court of second instance was also unsuccessful.

The Judicial Board of the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal considered justified the decision of the court of first instance that the disputed warning of Rosokhrankultura complies with laws and other regulatory legal acts.

The court decided to leave the decision of the Arbitration Court unchanged, the appeal - without satisfaction.
