On November 4, 2006, on Zubovskaya Street (that is, on the route of right-wing radicals to the rally ), one of the national radicals, a 46-year-old man, attacked Maria Runova, correspondent of the Mir Novosti publication, and hit her several times in the face.
The attacker was immediately detained and taken to the Khamovniki police station. The Khamovniki inter-district prosecutor's office of Moscow opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Beating out of hooligan motives")."
