The laurels of DPNI do not give rest to the “Locals”

On November 26, 2006, activists of the youth organization "Mestnye" conducted a raid on markets in 20 cities of the Moscow region. During the event, members of the movement checked the markets for the presence of "illegal traders".

"The essence of our action was as follows: more than 6,000 young people in 20 markets in 20 large cities of the Moscow region - Lyubertsy, Khimki, Reutov, Mozhaisk and others decided to check how the principle of sellers' access to markets near Moscow is respected," said the leader of "Local " Sergey Fateev.

The center of the action was the city of Reutov, where about 200 young people led by S. Fateev conducted a raid on retail outlets. The protesters chanted slogans: "Don't buy from illegal immigrants!", "We don't need" dead souls! "," No registration - no trust! " . During the action, there were several fights between activists of the movement and illegal immigrants, which were stopped by the police. Police officers detained 83 people, of whom about 30 are members of the Local movement.

In Krasnogorsk and Pushkin, about 200 Local activists, graduates of sports-patriotic camps, patrolled the streets. As a result, according to them, they detained 22 "illegal immigrants" and 26 people "with incorrect registration." Despite the fact that S. Fateev stated that they "have no right to patrol the streets alone, only accompanied by a policeman ," nevertheless, police officers did not accompany these patrols.

Note that some of the actions of "Local" were carried out within the framework of the law, and some, on the contrary, are very doubtful from a legal point of view. For example, activists of the movement openly admit that they carried out raids on the streets alone, without police officers, but they still detained citizens. We emphasize that no one has the right to detain citizens except for police officers.

However, the actual result of such raids is not in doubt; in fact, their actions are aimed at inciting national hatred, because. a priori, discriminatory sampling was used ("Locals" were clearly guided by phenotypic traits). It is indicative that the pro-presidential organization directly adopted the methods of DPNI (a protest against "illegal immigration", which means "non-Slavs" who came to the "Slavic" regions), which are formally within the law, but in reality are clearly discriminatory.
