Skinheads sentenced in Bashkiria

On December 4, 2006, the district court of the Ordzhonikidzevsky district of Ufa (Bashkiria) passed a verdict on a group of skinheads who had beaten up foreign students from Vietnam and Angola. The leader and ideologist of the group, 24-year-old Andrey Ugryumov, and three of his 18-year-old "comrades-in-arms" Edik Khairullin, Albert Fayrushin, Alexander Kiryanov were sentenced to various terms of imprisonment from 1.5 to 3 years with a suspended sentence.

Recall that a criminal case against a group of young people was initiated under part 2 of article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“inciting national, racial or religious hatred”), part 4 of article 150 (“involving a minor in the commission of a crime”), part 1 article 161 (“robbery”), part 1 article 231 (“illegal cultivation of plants containing narcotic substances prohibited for cultivation”). The hearing of the criminal case began on 19 September.
