A Human Rights Center is being created at the World Russian People's Council

The Bureau of the Presidium of the World Russian People's Council decided to create a Human Rights Center, the Interfax-religion portal reports with reference to the official website of the Russian Orthodox Church. The Center will be engaged in the practical implementation of the provisionsof the Declaration on Human Rights and Dignity , which was adopted by the Council in April 2006. (See also the statement on this document prepared by the Initiative Group “Common Action.” - Ed. ) It is assumed that the VRNS Human Rights Center will begin operations in February 2007.
