In early November, unknown vandals painted a swastika and satanic symbols on the wall of the Spassky Cathedral in Yelabuga. As Sedmitsa.ru reports with reference to the website of the Kazan diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, "in a conversation between members of the parish council of the Pokrovsky Cathedral and law enforcement officials, it was believed that this was done by teenagers who do not give an account of their actions."
