Arson of the Korean NKA in Ussuriysk

In December 2006, in Ussuriysk (Primorye), two attempts were made to set fire to the building of the urban national-cultural autonomy of the Koreans, located on the street. Amurskaya, 63.

On December 1, a bottle of flammable liquid was thrown through a window on the 1st floor of the building where the archives of the Kore Sinmun newspaper were located. All newspapers were destroyed by fire, the ceiling and walls were charred. The further spread of the fire was prevented due to the fact that the fire station is located across the road.

On the night of December 11, a fire broke out in another wing of the building. After the fire was extinguished, the autonomy staff found three empty fuel canisters.

Recall that on the eve of the second arson - on December 10 in the capital of Primorye - Vladivostok, three citizens of North Korea were attacked , two of whom died in the hospital as a result. In connection with the attack, the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, Kamil Iskhakov, said that he was taking the case under his personal control.
