The commission did not reveal any violation of the principle of secularism when teaching military-industrial complex in the Bryansk region

A joint commission of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and human rights organizations checked the observance of the principle of secular education in the study of the "Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture" in the Bryansk region according to the program and educational and methodological support of Alla Borodina. The conclusion of the commission states that "no violation of the principle of secular education has been revealed."

Currently, the GPC in the Bryansk region is taught from grades 1 to 4 as a compulsory subject, in middle and senior grades - as an elective. According to A. Borodina, from September 1, 2007, the course may become mandatory for all schoolchildren in Bryansk.
