On December 25, 2006, in St. Petersburg, unknown persons beat up a Chinese citizen, a third-year student at an architectural university.
As the victim himself reported, on the Fontanka embankment, not far from the university dormitory, he was attacked by several people. The victim suffered a broken nose and minor facial injuries.
At the request of a citizen of the People's Republic of China, a criminal case was initiated under Article 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("beatings"). An investigation is underway. There is no reported robbery.
