Skinheads detained in Rybinsk

On December 22, 2006, in Rybinsk, on suspicion of murdering an unknown man, four young people, aged 18 to 20, were detained, identifying themselves as skinheads. Three of the detainees are students of the Rybinsk Aviation Academy. The main piece of evidence was a videotape made by the killers themselves.

"The motive was hatred for people of a different nationality. From the very beginning they agreed that they would film the murder on a digital camera, which they did. Subsequently, they were going to post this recording on one of the skinhead sites, since they consider themselves to be one of the skinhead groups," - said Deputy Prosecutor of Rybinsk Dmitry Potalitsyn.

Nazi literature, including the publication of Adolf Hitler's book Mein Kampf, was confiscated from the detainees. Young people confessed, but did not repent of their deeds. The court decided to arrest the suspects. They will be charged soon.

On December 27, 2006, the skinheads were charged under part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“premeditated murder committed out of motives of national hatred”)
