On February 12, the Nashi movement held an unsanctioned action in St. Petersburg against the "actual capture" of the city by "sects". The organizer of the action was detained by the police, a protocol on an administrative offense was drawn up against him, the case was referred to the court.
On February 26, a hearing of the case was held in the Magistrate's Court of the Admiralteisky District. The Nashi representative pleaded guilty.
At the same time, representatives of the Scientology Center appealed to the St. Petersburg Prosecutor's Office, the Registration Service, the Ministry of Justice, and Governor Valentina Matvienko with a request to check the activities of the Nashi organization for signs of extremism.
