On March 1, 2006, the newspaper "Kaliningradskaya Pravda" in the heading "This day was in our region" one of the events marked the creation of the first Nazi party cell in Koenigsberg, which caused a sharp reaction from one of the veterans, who reported this directly to the governor of the region Georgy Boos (see photo of a newspaper fragment ).
In his opinion, "this is no longer a newspaper blunder, but outright cynicism towards us veterans . "
The governor instructed administration lawyers to analyze the context in which this information was presented, saying that if "this is a story in a series of wonderful dates, then, of course, we will initiate the newspaper to apologize and be punished with a significant fine ... This is an outrage. "
The mention of the creation of a Nazi party cell in Koenigsberg was placed along with references to the creation of the Kaliningrad regional veterinary station, the opening of the air line Moscow - Kaliningrad - Moscow and the creation of the Baltic naval base.
Unfortunately, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper Damir Batyrshin refused to comment on the publication.
As the news agency "REGNUM" notes, this is not the first scandal of this kind (in 2005, the German (Nazi) name of Kalinin Avenue (Horst Wessel Avenue) was reproduced on the city map, and in 2006 the city newspaper "Kaskad-Podrobnosti" published on the cover congratulations on Defender of the Fatherland Day on the background of the German tank "Tiger".
We, for our part, remind you that in 2005 a similar scandal erupted in Moscow , when Moskovsky Komsomolets, under the heading "Birthdays", reminded its readers of the birthdays of Goering and Rosenberg. At that time, a parliamentary inquiry was even initiated on this occasion.
