A student from Malaysia was attacked in Nizhny Novgorod

On the evening of March 21, in Nizhny Novgorod, in the Nizhny Novgorod region, an 18-year-old citizen of Malaysia, a student of the Nizhny Novgorod State Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering, was attacked.

A group of teenagers (about 10 people) attacked a foreigner at a tram stop. The student suffered minor bodily injuries, in addition, the attackers sprayed him in the face with a gas canister.

On the fact of beatings, a criminal case was initiated under part 2 of article 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“beatings committed out of hooligan motives”).

On June 15, 2007, the prosecutor's office of the Nizhny Novgorod region announced that "the involvement of a minor resident of the city in this crime has been established."
