The trial in Kondopoga continues

On March 22, 2007, during the trial of Kondopoga residents Yuri Pliev and Sergei Mozgalev , whom the investigation considers to be the instigators of the fight in the Chaika restaurant, a debate took place between the parties.

The prosecution demanded that Y. Pliyev be sentenced to 2.5 years and S. Mozgalev to 5 years in prison in a strict regime colony.

Mozgalev's actions are qualified under Part 2 of Art. 213 and part 2 of Art. 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism and beatings), Pliev's actions - under part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism).

Mozgalev was proposed to be sentenced to a term of imprisonment with partial addition of his unserved sentence for the previous sentence for murder (Mozgalev was released on parole).

The defenders stated that there was no hooligan motive in the actions of the defendants.

On March 26, 2007, the defendants delivered their last word. They partially pleaded guilty to beating the victims, repented and asked for forgiveness.
