The court sentenced the creator of the Kurgan Skinheads website

On April 16, 2007, the Kurgan City Court announced the verdict under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("incitement of national, racial or religious hatred") in the criminal case of 18-year-old student of the Kurgan Agricultural Academy Yaroslav Kozlov.

on his website "Kurgan skinheads", During the preliminary and judicial investigation, it was established that the defendant posted images of fascist symbols (swastika), photos and texts "calling for violence against citizens of Caucasian nationality, Jews and the Mongoloid race" published a chronicle of "actions" by beating them," etc.

The illegality of the content of the site was proved by the examination. After three warnings from "Yandex" in the fall of 2005, the site was destroyed.

Ya. Kozlov was one of the organizers of a group of young skinheads who drew insulting appeals on the walls of houses and garages, signing themselves "KB-88" ("Kurgan skinheads - Heil Hitler").

Yaroslav Kozlov himself admitted his guilt in part. In the last word, he declared remorse, said that he was "interested in youth subculture", and now he believes that it was childish stupidity. Witnesses - members of the group testified in support of the prosecution. Judge Olga Kalinina, having examined all the materials of the case, ruled that Y. Kozlov was found guilty.

The public prosecutor, prosecutor Larisa Maslova, demanded that the defendant be sentenced to a one-year suspended sentence with a one-year probationary period. The court, taking into account Kozlov's repentance, positive characteristics and his youth, sentenced him to a fine of 5,000 rubles.

The verdict will take effect in 10 days. The prosecutor's office will decide on the issue of appealing the verdict, having additionally studied the court's decision.
