An attack by skinheads on a group of informal youth was prevented in St. Petersburg

On the night of April 13, 2007 in St. Petersburg, special services, together with the police, suppressed an attempt by ultra-right nationalists to attack a group of informal youth (Satanists and Goths), who decided to spend the night of "Friday the 13th" at the Smolensky cemetery of the city (district Vasilyevsky Island).

About 30 neo-Nazis, armed with knives, baseball bats, brass knuckles, fittings and a gas canister, gathered on Vasilevsky Island, preparing to "disperse the Goths and Satanists on Smolenka" . From the message on the Nazi forum, it can be understood that the planned action failed "through the fault" of two nationalists ( "bespredelschikov" , as the author of the message dubbed them), who were distracted from the main goal, chased a passerby of "non-Slavic appearance", caught the eye of the policemen, in as a result of which 6 young people were detained.

Earlier on the night of April 7-8, 2007 (on Easter), employees of the Center "T" of the ORB of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the North-West Federal District prevented an act of vandalism at one of the St. Petersburg cemeteries. Young people were going to destroy and desecrate the graves with fascist symbols. 4 participants from the same neo-Nazi group were detained.
