An anti-Semite became a deputy of the Krasnoyarsk Legislative Assembly

On April 15, 2007, Oleg Pashchenko, a well-known anti-Semite in the city, was elected as a deputy to the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory from the Just Russia party.

O. Pashchenko lost the elections in majoritarian districts and did not pass through the party lists. Nevertheless, O. Pashchenko became a deputy instead of Valery Zubov, a deputy from the Just Russia party, who refused his seat.

Recall that the local Jewish community tried to hold O. Pashchenko accountable for inciting ethnic hatred. The Just Russia party not only did not exclude him from the list of candidates after the scandal initiated by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation broke out, but also declared all kinds of support for their candidate. Thus, the information that the head of A Just Russia, Sergei Mironov, announced that a "principled decision to expel Oleg Pashchenko from the party" was unreliable.
