On June 1, 2007, the prosecutor's office of the Tyumen region sent to the regional court for consideration on the merits the criminal case of a group of young people accused of organizing and participating in an extremist community, committing a murder motivated by ethnic hatred and violent hooliganism. In the dock are 22-year-old Alexei Rykov, 21-year-old Evgeny Fateev, 20-year-old Igor Shiyanov, 19-year-old Evgeny Ataulin, and three minors.
As it was established during the investigation, in 2005 in Tyumen, I. Shiyanov "created an extremist community that shared the ideology of skinheads and openly expressed hostility and hatred towards people on a racial and national basis" . This group included Fateev, Rykov, Ataulin and three other minors. They were engaged in the study and dissemination of extremist literature, which outlined the ideas of the superiority of the "white" race over other races, involved new people in their organization.
On December 30, 2005, in the evening in the center of Tyumen, near the Tekutievsky cemetery, I. Shiyanov, E. Ataulin, E. Fateev and one of the minors beat to death 20-year-old resident of Azerbaijan Jafar Huseynov.
On March 11, 2006, E.Fateev, A.Rykov and two other minors beat 3 AKM activists because they did not share the ideology of skinheads.
On May 12 and 13, 2006, I. Shiyanov, E. Fateev, E. Ataulin and a minor involved in the murder of D. Huseynov were detained by law enforcement agencies and then arrested by a court decision. I. Shiyanov was charged under Part 1 of Art. 282.1. of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“organization of an extremist community”) and subparagraphs “e”, “g”, “l” of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“murder committed with particular cruelty by an organized group of persons, motivated by national hatred”) . E. Fateev, E. Ataulin and one of the minors - under Part 2 of Art. 282.1. of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("participation in an extremist community") and according to paragraphs "e", "g", "l" part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("murder committed with special cruelty, by an organized group of persons, motivated by national hatred"). A. Rykov and two other minors were charged under Part 2 of Art. 282.1. of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“participation in an extremist community”) and Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“hooliganism committed by an organized group, with the use of violence”).
