Four Falun Gong practitioners applied to the Federal Migration Service (FMS) for temporary asylum in the Russian Federation. Previously, they were denied refugee status. Recently, they all received answers saying that their stay in Russia is limited to July 3rd.
In connection with the refusal to grant refugee status, four Falun Gong followers announced their intention to leave Russia for another country, because afraid of deportation to China.
As follows from the message of the Portal-Credo.ru dated August 7, on July 10, the FMS Department for Moscow refused to provide believers with temporary asylum in the Russian Federation. However, the followers of "Falun Gong" appealed against this decision of the migration authorities in court. Preliminary hearings on three applications representing the interests of four Chinese citizens (one of the applicants has a minor daughter), the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow, scheduled for August 23.
