Chuvash Metropolitan proposes changing the law on NGOs

Metropolitan Varnava (Kedrov) of Cheboksary and Chuvash proposed to amend the federal law "On non-profit organizations". The current version of this law provides for the possibility of closing a non-profit organization. The metropolitan fears that this may lead to the official closure of rural churches. In addition, the parish councils of rural temples, as a rule, do not have the skills to prepare financial and other reports.
