On June 6, 2007, around midnight in Volgograd, two Chinese citizens Tian Min and Xiao, students of the Volgograd State Technical University, were beaten.
The Chinese, returning to the hostel, were attacked by a group of young people (about 6 people) shouting “Heil Hitler”. The Chinese citizens were brutally beaten and stabbed several times in the back and stomach. Let us note that no attempt was made to take money or cell phones from the victims. The attackers fled the scene. It was not possible to detain them in hot pursuit.
The students were taken to the hospital.
Friends of the victims believe that the attack was carried out by skinheads. The prosecutor of the Central District of Volgograd, Alexander Rasstrygin, said that there were no nationalistic or selfish motives in the crime. A criminal case was initiated under Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("hooliganism").
