On June 13, 2007, Moskovsky Komsomolets published an article by Darya Zakharova under the frankly provocative heading "Islam was preparing a terrorist act in Moscow."
From the text of the note, it turns out that, firstly, it is not Islam as a religion that is meant, but a citizen nicknamed Islam, by which he is allegedly "known among the Dagestan Wahhabis" , who was arrested on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack in Moscow (according to the author of the note, Islam collected at least 10 bombs and even made contact with al-Qaeda). And secondly, that his involvement in the preparation of the terrorist attack has not been proven, "the investigation turned out to have insufficient evidence in favor of the version of the impending terrorist attack" - and the suspect was charged under the articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on the manufacture and storage of an explosive device.
Obviously, such a title is offensive to Muslims. Needless to say, many skim the headlines without reading the entire newspaper - and thus they may form a false opinion about the content of the article.
We remind you that two months ago the editor-in-chief of "MK" Pavel Gusev was already forced to apologize for the anti-Islamic heading of the article in the newspaper.
