Attack by an anti-Semitic policeman

On July 30, 2007, during a business trip of the film crew of the Vesti-Irkutsk program to the village of Kutulik, Angarsk region, the program correspondent Anna Gritsevich was attacked by a police officer from Angarsk.

The police major was a guest of the same hotel where the journalists were staying. According to the victim, he did not like her last name. Pulling out a gun, he put it to the girl's head, threatening to kill her. The officer accompanied his actions with anti-Semitic statements. All this happened in front of numerous witnesses, who subsequently confirmed the fact of threats against the journalist to the investigating authorities.

The district prosecutor's office opened a criminal case under Art. 119 (threat to kill).
