Rodoshkevich's group is back in court

On August 1, 2007, the Novosibirsk Regional Court began a new trial of the "Rodoshkevich group" - eight Novosibirsk residents accused of a series of brutal attacks committed in 2002. The group called itself the "White Brotherhood" and set itself the goal of "cleansing the region of non-Russians."

Recall that due to the length of the trial (the trial lasted from 2003 to 2006 ), the accusation of participation in an extremist community (Article 282-1) fell out of qualification, and as a result, the nationalist motive of the members of the skin group was not officially recognized by the court ( although the judge emphasized this motive during the announcement of the verdict). Let us also remind you that the case of the leader of the group, Mikhail Rodoshkevich, has been separated into a separate proceeding due to doubts about his mental adequacy . Since 2003, the court has been unable to start considering it, due to a series of psychiatric examinations that has not yet been completed .

On May 3, 2007, the Supreme Court, on the basis of a violation of the Code of Criminal Procedure, annulled the sentence and sent the case back for a new trial.
