On August 23, 2007, the verdict on Alexander Aratov, the former editor-in-chief of the Russkaya Pravda publishing house, came into force. Recall that the neo-pagan publisher was convicted under paragraph "b" part 2 of Art. 282 (incitement of ethnic hatred using his official position) to 3 years of suspended imprisonment, without any additional measures restricting his propaganda activities.
The Moscow City Court considered the cassation appeal of A. Aratov against the sentence of the Zyuzinsky District Court of Moscow dated June 20, 2007, in which the right-wing radical publisher insisted that the articles for which he was held accountable were not his own and were reprinted from others publications, which allegedly relieves him of all responsibility for the publication. At the same time, the complaint referred to numerous procedural violations.
However, the Moscow City Court accepted the point of view of the prosecutor's office and approved the verdict of the lower court.
