Skinhead attack in Novosibirsk

On August 3, 2007, at about 8 pm in Novosibirsk, skinheads attacked a young man and a girl walking down the street. The reason for the attack was the non-Slavic appearance of the young man (he is half Korean).

The attack took place in the very center of the city, a few meters from the police post. About eight people, shouting "Chinese, go back to your China" , began to beat the young man, and then the girl who tried to protect him.

As eyewitnesses emphasize, the policemen, in front of whom the beating took place, did not intervene until their friends arrived in time to help the victims, to whom the couple was going to meet.

As a result, the victims received only numerous bruises and abrasions, avoiding more serious injuries.

One of the attackers was detained, and a criminal case has been opened on the fact of the attack. However, under what article this attack is qualified is unknown.

A few days later, on August 9, another neo-Nazi incident occurred on the street. Red Avenue opposite the club "Rock City". There, a group of skinheads, "singing neo-Nazi songs" , bullied the townspeople passing by. At least one attempt was made to attack, but people managed to escape.
