At the end of August 2007, the prosecutor's office of the Kirovsky district of St. Petersburg opened another criminal case against the leader of the neo-Nazi Freedom Party, Yuri Belyaev, for xenophobic articles and speeches.

Back in May, Yu. Belyaev, who is under probation for publishing racist articles, was put on the wanted list. The official reason for this was, according to the investigators, that he did not appear for interrogation in response to a summons officially sent to him. On August 23, he was brought in for questioning by the police. The investigator, in particular, was interested in where Yu. Belyaev was on August 13, when train N166 "Nevsky Express" was blown up (we recall that neo-Nazis, among others, are also suspected of being involved in the explosion).

Belyaev himself denies that he was aware that he was wanted. However, we note that on the now closed website of the party, several months ago, information appeared that Yu. Belyaev was resigning as head of the Freedom Party due to persecution by law enforcement agencies.
