Another warning “for extremism” declared illegal

On August 31, 2007, the Sovetsky District Court of Orel declared illegal the warning about the inadmissibility of extremist activity issued by the district prosecutor's office to Georgy Sarkisyan, chairman of the regional branch of the UCF, on May 16.

The basis for the warning was the holding of a picket on April 10, 2007, organized by G. Sargsyan. The action was attended by the leader of the local National Bolsheviks, Mikhail Deev, holding the flag of the NBP.

The court ruled that prosecutor Volodymyr Kuzmenko was obliged to withdraw the warning as unfounded.

It should be reminded that on August 3 the same court declared illegal another warning given to G. Sargsyan and human rights activist D. Krayukhin.
