Anti-Caucasian leaflets in Karelia

On August 31, 2007, leaflets appeared in the city of Olonets (Karelia) with insulting statements about immigrants from the Caucasus.

"Olonchans - take power into your own hands! No - to the lawlessness of the Caucasus! No - to corrupt officials!" , the leaflet says. The text also contains calls for a resident of the city to come to an unauthorized rally. On the same day, unknown persons blocked the door of the city hall of Olonets with a metal chain with a padlock.

Leaflets are printed on a computer and do not have an imprint.

"The administration of Olonets took this very seriously. I don't think it's some kind of powerful organization, but someone is clearly trying to destabilize the situation. It's possible that this is due to the anniversary of the events in Kondopoga," said an employee of the city administration .
