On September 18, 2007, it became known that discs with the writings of Nazi ideologists, Adolf Hitler's book "Mein Kampf", archival fascist films, as well as discs with SS marches are freely sold in Kursk. On the covers of some of these discs, swastikas and portraits of Hitler were seen.
Such materials are sold in kiosks in all districts of Kursk. In the Seimsky and Zheleznodorozhny districts of the city, retail outlets are located next to the district departments of the police and the prosecutor's office.
Most often there are "libraries in your pocket", where the texts of many books are collected in electronic form - from 4 to 30 thousand volumes, among others there is Hitler's work "Mein Kampf". Also on sale was a CD "Songs and Marches of the Third Reich", which contains 140 German songs, among them - German military marches, songs about Hitler and the "valiant" SS troops.
Roman Ksenofontov, head of the department of district police officers of the Kursk Internal Affairs Directorate, noted that they had previously been involved in the removal of Nazi symbols from sale in the city. He stated that in early 2006 "law enforcement authorities seized ... copies of Nazi orders and badges." "As for the sale of Hitler's books and fascist marches, we will definitely put things in order in this area ," R. Ksenofontov said.
According to which article a criminal case was initiated, it is not reported.
