On October 29, 2007, the Moscow Regional Court began anew consideration of the criminal case on the murder of 19-year-old Artur Sardaryan in the Moscow region in May 2006, motivated by ethnic hatred.

The Moscow Regional Court appointed the selection of jurors for November 16, 2007.

It should be reminded that at the end of September 2007 the Supreme Court overturned of acquittal the verdict in this case, handed down by the jury of the Moscow Regional Court. Juvenile defendant Roman Polusmyak, whom the prosecutor's office accused under paragraph "g, l" part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("murder committed by a group of persons motivated by national hatred or enmity"), was found not guilty. Later, R. Polusmyak attacked a native of Dagestan and is now serving his sentence in an educational colony. (It was also reported that Polusmyak was "preparing to stand trial" in yet another nationalist case.)

On December 20, 2007, the Moscow Regional Court began hearing the case on the merits.

The Moscow Regional Court has begun a retrial of the murder case on a train near Moscow
