On October 26, 2007, the prosecutor's office of the Republic of Adygea sent a case to the Maykop City Court against a student from Adygea, who is accused of posting video footage of the execution of two people on the Internet.
Let us remind you that the charge was brought under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of national hatred) to 24-year-old part-time student of the Republican Technological University Viktor Milkov, who posted a video of a brutal double murder on the Internet in mid-August 2007.
On November 7, 2007, the Maykop City Court did not satisfy the defense's request to terminate the criminal case.
“During the preliminary hearing, the court refused to satisfy the petition of the student’s lawyers, who asked to dismiss the case due to the active repentance of the defendant,” said City Court Judge Anatoly Gerasimov.
According to him, the court did not find any grounds for terminating the case and intends in the future to “establish the circumstances of the confession made by the defendant, since this is the main basis for terminating the criminal case.”
The next meeting is scheduled for November 19.
