On November 6, 2007 in Stavropol, at a meeting of the coordinating council for youth affairs, dedicated to informal youth associations, Oleg Korotkiy, a specialist in the organizational department of the youth affairs department of the city administration, said that there were about 1.5 thousand skinheads in the city, of which 500 people - active participants in the movement.
According to O. Korotkiy, most of the "old" skinheads have now retired from active work and are engaged in business. The specialist noted that there was a split in the movement: most of its ideologists refused to participate in pickets and demonstrations, some of the "young" activists are well organized and still participate in forceful actions.
Let us recall that on May 24, 2007, a mass brawl took place in Stavropol , which took on an interethnic character, in which local skinheads also participated.
