Search in the apartment of the leader of the Stavropol RONS

On November 23, 2007, the apartment of the leader of the Stavropol department of the Russian National Union (RONS) Alexander Chernovolov was searched by the FSB officers for the Stavropol Territory. During the search, the program and charter of the RONS, the newspapers "Rubezh", the film "Russian Field", election leaflets and materials were seized. (A. Chernovolov is a candidate for deputy in the Stavropol Territory from the People's Union party). The search was carried out at the request of the regional prosecutor's office.

Let us recall that A. Chernovolov is one of the organizers of the June anti-Caucasus rally in the city, which almost ended in mass pogroms. In June 2007, a criminal case was opened against the leader of the regional RONS under paragraph "c" of Part 2 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("incitement of national hatred or enmity committed by an organized group"). Probably the search was carried out in the framework of this criminal case.
