Swastika in the office of the Stavropol mayor

On November 28, 2007, during a search in the office of the mayor of Stavropol Dmitry Kuzmin, a flag with a fascist swastika and awards of fascist Germany were discovered.

The search was carried out as part of a criminal case initiated on November 26, 2007 about the mayor exceeding “the official powers determined by the city charter.”

As Sergei Solodovnikov, First Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Southern Federal District, told reporters, the person under investigation is now outside the Stavropol Territory and no preventive measure has yet been taken against him. In the near future, Kuzmin will be summoned to testify at the investigative department of the Investigative Committee at the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation for the Stavropol Territory.

Let us note that Dmitry Kuzmin is the leader of the regional branch of the political party “A Just Russia”. At the request of the regional election commission, he is excluded from the running as candidates for the State Duma in the upcoming elections.
