On December 3, 2007, the court of the city of Neryungri (Yakutia) delivered a verdict in the case of distributing nationalist leaflets. 23-year-old D. A. Manweiler and 21-year-old A. V. Ponomarev were sentenced to 1 year in prison to be served in a colony-settlement.
According to a representative of the prosecutor's office, "a criminal case under article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting national hatred or enmity) was initiated against three people, but only two were sentenced . "
Recall that the defendants put up leaflets calling for extremist actions against Muslims in the summer of 2007. Later, they also distributed leaflets calling against workers from China who arrived at the construction of the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean oil pipeline.
