Attack on a synagogue in Makhachkala

On the night of December 24 in Makhachkala, unknown people broke windows in the synagogue building. When the chairman of the community, Shimmi Dibiyaev, drove up to the synagogue early in the morning, he found that the windows on the first three floors were broken, and cobblestones were lying in the office of the leader of the community.

The community believes that this could not be due to the pranks of teenagers: they would not have been able to throw stones at such a height.

The leadership of the Jewish community of Makhachkala sent a telegram to the President of the Republic of Dagestan, Mukh Aliyev, asking him to look into what had happened.
