To comprehend a phenomenon means to build it into a mental scheme. The way people explain the world does not contribute much to understanding the world, but to understanding people. For example, A.S. What does this fact give to the understanding of cholera? Nothing. But he gives something for understanding the mental scheme of the Pskov peasants.

A similar incident took place in our village. With elections. Elections in the United States, elections in Georgia... Not for nothing! And now our peasants from the TV announce with triumph: they are zhuhay, bastards! Details, however, are not given. So, with broad strokes from a bucket, from a bird's eye view. Which painfully resembles the mental scheme of I.V. Stalin: since world imperialism tortured the innocent Sacco and Vanzetti, it is foolish to demand from the state of workers and peasants that it refrain from torturing class enemies.

The difference, however, is that mountains of books, court decisions and newspaper articles are heaped around the two victims of American imperialism, while in our country millions have gone through torture chambers straight into mass graves without a trace - and no one in the courts, prosecutors and archives is especially worried. That is, in general, the situation is symmetrical. We are no worse. Maybe even better: the people are not so vindictive. From which it follows that in the mental scheme of a Soviet patriot, one tortured American is worth a million of our tortured.

It's also good: the Soviet people are not petty.

Especially when they are not personally involved. And in America, blacks are lynched. Just now, poor Obama was lynched by the so-called Democrats in New Hampshire. You can’t fool us with our scheme on the chaff - the local racists must have rigged it in favor of the fat Clinton!

Georgia had over a thousand international observers at 3,500 polling stations. Plus thousands of observers from the opposition. And they really fixed the violations. In places. They demanded to consider them in court and punish those responsible. We, in the advanced state of sovereign democracy, had several dozen international observers at 95,000 polling stations. They didn't record any of that. And they didn't demand anything about the courts. What's the point of asking? We won't let anyone judge our sons of bitches anyway.
