The trial has begun in the case of recognition of Boris Mironov’s extremist book “The Yoke of the Jews”

On January 16, 2007, in the Khoroshevsky Court of Moscow yesterday, consideration of the case on the publication of Boris Mironov's book "The Jewish Yoke" began.

Recall that the book was published in May 2007. In October 2007, the Savyolovsky Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office of Moscow sent an application to the Khoroshevsky District Court for the recognition of the book "Jewish Yoke" as extremist. The prosecutor's office also sent a Warning about the inadmissibility of carrying out extremist activities to the Algorithm-Kniga publishing house, which has been publishing B. Mironov's book since 2005, with a demand to stop publishing the book within two months, withdraw the remaining circulation from sale and report to the prosecutor's office on the implementation of this decision.

Dmitry Trubin, Deputy Prosecutor of Savelovsky, spoke at the court session and said that B. Mironov's book "caused a lot of complaints from readers who saw in it propaganda of anti-Semitism and incitement of national hatred" .

B. Mironov, who spoke further, stated that he did not intend to denigrate "the entire Jewish people" , but "wanted to expose the so-called Jewish mafia responsible for the plundering of the country in the 90s . " "I consider this case to be ordered, and I suggest that the experts from Kaluga, who gave a negative opinion on my book, undergo a psychiatric examination themselves ," he added.

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for February 7.
